Handwoven basket made from bamboo. This is a traditional Karen all-purpose basket, often used for carrying rice and other produce from the farm. It comes with a finely woven rattan carrying strap attached to the basket with hand-twisted bark.
The basket has been smoked, waxed and polished to add extra patina and depth of hue.
